PURPOSE OF POSITION:
To provide support to the Production organization in the areas of collecting, loading and scheduling of recyclable materials with outside organizations/ vendors.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Responsible for oversight of processes.
- Ensure recyclable materials are efficiently processed and comply with environmental regulations.
- Ensure efficient flow of recyclable materials from production lines,
- Maintain accurate records of outgoing recyclable materials.
- Coordinate with vendors daily pickups of materials and drop off empty trailers
- Tracking and ordering of essential materials i.e. (bailing wire).
- Drives improvements to the efficiency flows of recyclable materials.
- Ensure loading of trailers meets quality standards.
- Consolidates daily data to track daily quantities shipped.
- Track completion of forklift pre-trips.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
- ERP System experience, SAP is a significant advantage.
- 1 (one) to 2 (two) years’ experience in a materials or warehouse department.
OTHER SKILLS AND ABILITIES
- An analytical mindset, logical thought process, detail-oriented individual with strong problem-solving skills and mathematical abilities
- Good interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to interact in a professional manner
- Proficiency in MS Office software – Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint
PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
- Able to sit at desk and use/view computer for prolonged periods of time, up to 4 hours daily.
- Able to stand up to 8 hours daily.
- Able to work in a warehouse environment with no central heating or air.
