Software Engineer (C#, Python) - Energy Trading

Context:

Our client, a notable company operating in the energy and trading sector, is seeking a senior developer to join its dynamic team. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing grid-scale storage solutions with global impacts.

Responsibilities:

- Design, develop, and maintain software applications for energy trading operations.

- Work with a specialized team dedicated to developing an advanced software platform for energy storage and renewable energy solutions.

-Learn and utilize knowledge of storage operations for day-ahead, real-time, ancillary services, PnL, settlement, visualization, forecasting, modeling and compliance as it relates to the market protocols and operations.

- Utilize expertise in energy market operations to enhance trading strategies and optimize performance.

- Develop user-friendly interfaces, reports, and data integration solutions to meet business requirements.

- Adhere to best practices in software development, including version control and documentation.

- Provide timely support and troubleshooting for software-related issues.

- Take ownership of software projects from conception to deployment.

Required Qualifications:

- 5years, Significant experience in software development within the energy sector

- 5years, Proficiency in programming languages such as C# and Python

- 3years, Hands-on experience with cloud computing platforms such as (Azure, AWS)

- Understanding of energy market dynamics and trading operations.
