LVN-Part Time Job Description

Location: McAllen, TX, 78503

Job Summary

The LVN-Part Time will be responsible for providing nursing care to patients under the direction of a registered nurse or physician. The LVN-Part Time will work part-time hours and will be responsible for performing a variety of tasks, including administering medication, monitoring vital signs, and assisting with patient care.

Key Responsibilities

• Administer medication as prescribed by a physician
• Monitor vital signs and report any changes to the registered nurse or physician
• Assist with patient care, including bathing, dressing, and feeding patients
• Document patient care and maintain accurate medical records
• Communicate with patients and their families regarding care and treatment plans
• Assist with patient education and provide information on health and wellness
• Adhere to all nursing standards and protocols
• Perform other duties as assigned

Qualifications

• Current LVN license in the state of Texas
• Minimum of 1 year of nursing experience
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Strong attention to detail and ability to multitask
• Basic computer skills

Physical Requirements

• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
• Ability to stand, walk, and bend for extended periods of time
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment

Education

High school diploma or equivalent
