Position Overview
We’re hiring a Project Manager (Painting Carpentry) to help drive growth by estimating and selling painting and carpentry projects, while also providing light project management support to ensure a smooth handoff and a great customer experience.
This role is primarily sales and estimating, with additional responsibility for customer communication and project coordination on awarded work (not day-to-day field supervision).
What You’ll Do
Sales & Estimating (Primary)
- Meet with homeowners, property managers, and light commercial clients to evaluate painting and carpentry needs
- Develop clear, accurate estimates and proposals for projects that may include both painting and carpentry
- Define scope, exclusions, assumptions, and allowances to protect quality and margin
- Present proposals, answer questions, and follow up consistently to close work
- Maintain a healthy pipeline and contribute to company revenue goals
Project Coordination (Secondary)
- Create a clean handoff to production (scope notes, site constraints, access, schedule targets, selections/colors if known)
- Support customer communication after award for clarifications and expectation-setting
- Assist with change order conversations when scope changes or hidden conditions are discovered (as needed)
- Coordinate internally with Superintendents and the Project Coordinator to keep projects moving smoothly
What We’re Looking For
- 3 years of experience in estimating/sales or project management in painting, carpentry, remodeling, or construction services
- Strong customer communication skills and professional follow-through
- Organized, responsive, and able to manage multiple bids and active projects at once
- Proficient with email and spreadsheets; job management/CRM software experience is a plus (Knowify a plus)
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation
Beneficial (Preferred) Experience
- Some experience estimating both painting and carpentry (even if one trade is stronger than the other)
- Experience with high-end residential repaints and repair carpentry (rot repair, trim, doors/windows, decks)
- Familiarity with job costing, allowances, and change order workflows
- Existing relationships with Seattle-area property managers, realtors, or builders

Pay: $75,000.00 - $90,000.00 per year
