HOST
The Host team provides exceptional customer service to both our internal and external guests. A smile, kindness, courtesy, and industry knowledge are all pre-requisites of the job. Greeting and seating guests, managing the reservation system, and keeping a clean and organized workstation are the daily responsibilities for this position. Customer service, salesmanship, timeliness, and being a team player are the values that make our Hosts and the property successful. Responsible to perform all duties according to Casino Queen policies, procedures, state of Louisiana alcohol laws, and Internal Controls.

- Smiles, provides exceptional customer service, and always treats guests and coworkers with respect.
- Participate regularly in departmental and company meetings.
- Manages the reservation system, greets and seats guests, sets server rotation, and controls the flow of dining areas.
- Knowledgeable in the products the company serves.
- Understands customer service and execution of standards is what makes this position successful for the company and the team members.
- Sets and keeps restaurant workstations and the surrounding areas properly stocked, clean, safe, and organized.
- Ability to uphold great communication with guest, build rapport, and engage in friendly conversations.
- Communicates all guest service opportunities and product shortages or issues to management.
- Serves food/drink, greats and seats guests, busses, and runs food/drink, does side work, plus any other normal functions required to service our guests under normal operating conditions.
- Follows the company’s attendance policy as well as other rules and regulations set forth in the handbook.
- Able to satisfactorily complete assignable work tasks requested by the departmental leaders
- Immediately report any safety hazards, problems, or maintenance issues to the appropriate party
- Ensures the proper steps of service, and our guests needs, are being met.
- Other duties as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS
- 1 year Host experience in a fast-paced environment, required
- Food Handler Certification, required
- High School Diploma/GED, required
- Must be 21 years of age or older
- Must have basic mathematical skills
- Hep A vaccination on, or before, first day of work
- Must be able to work Weekends, Nights and Holidays
- Able to effectively communicate in English via verbal and written
