What are the responsibilities and job description for the Queen of Angels, Fort Wayne - K-8 Paraprofessional (Fort Wayne, IN) position at Queen of Angels?
The K-8 Paraprofessional reports directly to the classroom teachers, as well as, the Principal. The position is intended to provide educational support in the classrooms to students that receive both general and special education services.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities of the K-8 Paraprofessional

CLASSROOM SUPPORT

The Paraprofessional must be able to be in the classroom and assist the students with educational support.

The Paraprofessional must be able to be with the students during specials and other non-structured times in and out of the classroom.

The Paraprofessional must be willing to assist students at Mass with following directions.

COMMUNICATION AND NOTES

The Paraprofessional must be able to clearly and respectfully communicate with all adults and students in the school building.

The Paraprofessional must be able to take anecdotal notes on the students progress both academically and socially, as well as be able to document observations and incidents that occur during the day.

The ideal candidate will have good organizational skills as well as be a team player. This candidate must also be dependable and able to work 29.5 hours each week. The candidate must possess a minimum of a High School Diploma or Equivalent.
