Overview
We are seeking a friendly and professional Front Desk Receptionist to join our Family Practice and Med Spa team. As the first point of contact for clients and patients, you’ll provide exceptional customer support while managing a variety of administrative and clinical coordination tasks. This role requires a detail-oriented individual with strong organizational skills and the ability to multitask in a fast-paced healthcare environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Greet and welcome visitors with warmth and professionalism.
- Answer incoming calls, triage inquiries, and direct them to appropriate staff.
- Schedule appointments, consultations, and follow-ups using scheduling software.
- Maintain a clean and organized front desk and reception area.
- Assist patients with check-in/check-out procedures and intake forms.
- Verify insurance eligibility and collect co-pays or payments when applicable.
- Update and maintain electronic medical records (EMRs) with accuracy.
- Process billing support tasks and coordinate with third-party billers.
- Handle administrative duties such as filing, data entry, and proofreading.
- Communicate with clinical staff to ensure smooth patient flow and scheduling.
- Ensure confidentiality of patient information in compliance with HIPAA.
- Monitor office inventory and assist with supply ordering as needed.
Skills & Qualifications
- Strong organizational skills and ability to prioritize tasks effectively.
- Excellent proofreading and attention to detail in documentation.
- Prior experience in a medical or front desk role is preferred.
- Exceptional customer service and interpersonal communication.
- Familiarity with EMR systems and scheduling platforms.
- Ability to operate standard office equipment and computer systems.
- Knowledge of medical terminology and insurance processes is a plus.
