Summary

The Assistant Media Planner will assist our Integrated Media Strategy team. Primary responsibilities include assisting with comprehensive media campaigns, assisting in budget management, traffic coordination, team task lists, entering invoices, preparing conference notes, and daily client contact and management.

Responsibilities

  • Assist with daily operations of assigned account
  • Arrange and attend client/agency or internal agency meetings and prepare conference notes
  • Compile ongoing team task list, updated daily
  • Assist with reporting, research, marketplace insights
  • Assist with creation of spreadsheets, charts and graphs that effectively portray intent
  • Maintain a cordial and business-like relationship with client and vendors and handle information requests and coordination as needed
  • Function as liaison between partner agencies and internal media buying teams to coordinate media activations and ensure that all deadlines are met
  • Respond to internal and external requests, and ensure that all assets and reports are delivered accurately and on time
  • Assist with budget maintenance, budget entry in planning software, maintain flowcharts
  • Assist with the input of all invoices

  • Actively participate in supporting fellow team members and look for opportunities to grow responsibilities
  • Ensure all work is 100% accurate, well-organized, and on time
  • Troubleshoot and proactively problem-solve when appropriate
  • Demonstrate excellent attention to detail and ability to see a project through to completion
  • Exhibit strong organizational, written and verbal communication skills

Education and Experience

  • Bachelors’ degree required
  • Experience in an office environment
  • Proficiency in MS Office software required—Excel, Word, PowerPoint
  • Attention to detail essential and media-math knowledge preferred
  • Any knowledge of media-related and other basic software packages (e.g., MRI, Scarborough, AdViews, Stradegy, IMS, Telmar) a plus
  • Experience with SQUAD Media Tools, MediaOcean OX, Nielsen Media Impact a plus
