Position Summary:
The Grants Compliance Specialist is responsible for ensuring that the organization’s grant-funded programs comply with all applicable federal, state, and private funding regulations. This role involves reviewing grant agreements, monitoring spending and reporting, coordinating audits, and advising internal stakeholders on grant compliance requirements.
Key Responsibilities:
- Ensure compliance with all grant terms and conditions, including federal Uniform Guidance (2 CFR Part 200) and funder-specific requirements
- Review grant agreements and identify key compliance obligations and deadlines.
- Monitor grant expenditures and activities to ensure proper use of funds in accordance with budgets and allowable cost principles
- Assist program and finance teams with grant budget development, modification, and forecasting
- Prepare and review required financial, administrative and performance reports for submission to funders
- Maintain documentation and audit trails for all grants, including contracts, correspondence, budgets, and reports
- Participate in internal and external audits, including Single Audits and funder reviews
- Train program and administrative staff on compliance requirements and best practices
- Stay current on changing regulations, guidance, and trends in grants compliance.
- Maintain funding statements for staff in the InfoNet database
- Other duties that support the mission of QUANADA
Preferred Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in human services, psychology, social work, finance, business or other applicable field
- Minimum 2 years of experience in grants compliance, grants management, grant writing, or nonprofit finance
- Understanding of accounting principles and budgetary oversight
- Experience with nonprofit or governmental fund accounting
- Familiarity with grants management and financial management software such as Amplifund, QuickBooks, or similar platforms
- Knowledge of federal grant regulations, especially OMB Uniform Guidance
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills
- Ability to work as part of a collaborative team
- Passion and alignment with QUANADA's mission and values
- Willingness to commit to a self-care plan to mitigate harm from vicarious trauma
