Key Duties and Responsibilities:
- Manage and oversee all general ledger activities including accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, accruals, and prepaid expenses
- Lead the monthly, quarterly, and annual close processes to ensure timely and accurate financial reporting
- Ensure compliance with U.S. GAAP, including ASC 606 revenue recognition for subscription-based contracts
- Oversee accounting for the UK subsidiary, including statutory reporting, local compliance, and coordination with external UK accountants
- Prepare and review account reconciliations, journal entries, and supporting schedules
- Support the preparation of financial statements and assist with audit and tax compliance
- Develop and maintain internal controls and accounting policies and procedures
- Assist with optimization of accounting systems and automation tools
- Mentor and develop junior accounting staff
Requirements:
- Bachelors degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (CPA strongly preferred)
- 5 years of progressive accounting experience, including 2 years in a SaaS, technology, or public accounting environment
- Strong knowledge of U.S. GAAP and experience with revenue recognition (ASC 606)
- Experience with international accounting or multi-entity consolidations; familiarity with UK accounting/tax compliance is a plus
- Experience with NetSuite or other ERP systems
- Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills
- Ability to work independently, manage multiple priorities, and meet tight deadlines
- Attention to detail with a strong commitment to process improvement and accuracy
