Civil Site Work Foreman Position Summary:
Coordinates activities of work crew engaged in the installation of underground utilities, building pad excavations, and general site grading. Understands construction and schematic drawings enough to install work per the plans and specifications.
Hiring Requirements for Civil Site Work Foreman:
- High school diploma or equivalent and additional specialized training equal to a master craft designation.
- Minimum 5 years' experience in site work or utility construction.
- Working foreman should be able to work within precise limits of standards of accuracy and make decisions based on measurable criteria.
- Completion of company training programs and appropriate experience required.
- Possess the leadership ability necessary to lead, motivate and direct the work of subordinates.
- Physically, working foreman must be able to work easily and skillfully with hands, lift and carry objects weighing up to 100 pounds, have good vision either naturally or with correction) and stand, stoop, kneel or crouch.
- OSHA 10 Construction Certification, or ability to obtain during pre-employment (company provided online training).
- Obtain and maintain a DOT medical card.
