Journeyman Painter
SUMMARY:
Reporting directly to Paint Supervisor, perform semiskilled preparation and painting of residential and commercial painting projects in a timely manner within company guidelines.
ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES:
- Able to do complete jobs with very little supervision.
- Plan, coordinate, supervise on own job.
- Perform skilled painting.
- Capable of using airless sprayers, air-assist airless sprayers, conventional sprayers, and HVLP.
- Has extensive experience with oil stain/gel stain, die stain, waterborne stains, oil enamel, latex enamel, epoxies, varnish, lacquer, conversion varnish, shellacs, acid strippers, and cleaners for cement and removing paint, latex interior and exterior paints.
- Coordinate with the homeowners and subcontractors.
- Oversee, coordinate and train apprentice painter and painter’s helper.
- Complete job related tasks in a safe manner by adhering to appropriate safety regulations.
- Maintain good working relationships with customers, co-workers, and staff.
MINIMUM DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- Ability to lift 40 lbs.
- Perform physical activities that require considerable use of your arms and legs and moving your whole body, such as climbing, lifting, balancing, walking, stooping and handling of materials.
Working hours: Monday - Friday 7am - 3:30pm
Hours: 8 hours per day excluding breaks.
