Construction Foreman
Summary/Objective
Rabine America Maintenance seeks an experienced Construction Foreman to join and lead our pavement maintenance crew in concrete and/or asphalt projects. This role requires a positive, energetic, hands-on individual who can make responsible independent decisions using strong leadership, initiative, organization, and interpersonal skills to ensure the success of each project and crew member. The Construction Foreman will need to have experience competently working in a high energy, fast paced role.
Essential Functions
· Lead and direct crew, equipment, and resources in an efficient and effective order, maximizing productivity in a safe and timely manner.
· Engage in open communication with the Director of Operations, additional necessary personnel and report any issues which could affect the project plan.
· Organize and coordinate the daily activities of all crew members, subcontractors, equipment and utilize corrective action to keep the project on time and on budget.
· Work as a team member and leader to carry out day to day operations to ensure each job is performed and completed to required budget, schedule, quality, and safety standards.
· Review and adhere to construction schedules, ensuring milestones and completion dates are met.
· Ensure company equipment is lawfully operated, cared for, maintained, and used effectively.
· Must ensure a solid understanding of and comply with the principles of the company’s policies.
· Monitor and manage employee attendance, ensuring the timely arrival and participation of all crew members, and notifying employees of non-workdays, prior to the start of the work.
Competencies (Knowledge, Skills, Abilities)
1. Basic computer capabilities.
2. Must be able to speak English (bilingual preferred).
3. Must be able to read blueprints and drawings.
4. Ability to work collaboratively with the general community.
5. Ability to interpret client, crew and supervisor needs and produce positive results with a positive “can do” attitude.
6. Excellent hand, eye, and foot coordination.
7. Proven ability to continually adapt and learn new procedures and tools.
8. Must be enterprising, diplomatic, and proactive at solving problems.
Education and Experience
· High School Diploma or G.E.D.
· Class A or B CDL is preferred with no automatic restrictions.
· Preferably 5 years of relative construction work experience. Specifically, concrete work and asphalt work.

Work Environment
This job operates on various job sites outdoors. Loud equipment and being near heavy machinery is part of the day to day. Being able to operate safely in such conditions is required.
Physical Demands
This is a very physical role. Teammates may be exposed to extreme heat or coldness depending on seasonal and local conditions. Teammates must be able to do repetitive lifting and moving objects and tools that are at least 75 lbs.
Position Type and Expected Hours of Work
This is a full-time position with overtime as required and possible on-call work when necessary.

This role requires travel.
