Job Summary
Radford University’s Office of the Registrar invites applications for a Transfer Credit Evaluator for our RU Carilion office located in Roanoke. The Transfer Credit Evaluator:
Receives all college level transcripts for continuing and re-admit students, evaluates them for transfer credit, and adds the appropriate transfer credit to students’ academic records.
Coordinates with the Office of Undergraduate and Graduate Admissions to ensure that all college level transcripts are obtained for evaluation.
Helps maintain the Banner transfer equivalency tables, as well as the Virginia Community College Transfer Guide.
Works with the Director of the Undergraduate Curriculum, department chairs, and school directors on new transfer course evaluations and the periodic review of existing transfer courses.
Provides general assistance to students, faculty, and staff regarding academic records, registration, transfer credit, and related university policies and procedures.
Required Qualifications
Experience with computer applications and technology that supports educational institutions and/or relational databases.
Demonstrated ability to effectively work and communicate in a team environment within a diverse population.
Demonstrated strong communication and customer service skills to adequately serve students and the university community.
Additional Considerations
Experience working with FERPA and other federal regulations related to the release of educational records to third parties as well as general university policies and procedures.
Experience with student information systems or other relational databases.
Demonstrated planning and problem solving skills.
