Radiance Technologies is seeking a Mechanical Engineer to support the Directed Energy Office of the U.S. Army Rapid Capabilities and Critical Technologies office in Huntsville, AL. The Mechanical Engineer will Lead technical development of multi-discipline/multi-organization C-UAS prototype development including the management of vendor tasks, roles, or responsibilities for diverse technical and programmatic areas. Must be able to work as a Lead Program Integrator to plan and execute multiple aspects of a vehicle weapons prototype program such as development, production, test, and deployment of engineering prototypes to meet cost, schedule, and performance objectives. Must possess skills related to integrating C-UAS weapon systems into Army tactical vehicle applications. Experience with design, initial integration, analysis, and troubleshooting of high power and thermal management systems as it pertains to tactical vehicle systems. Managing onboard vehicle power generation and conditioning to supply to onboard equipment. Knowledge and experience in the development and testing of FAAD C2 networks, active and/or passive sensor systems, GPS integration, wireless communications, operational deployments, and theater analysis and feedback are highly desired.
Responsibilities
- Perform all source analysis to acquire required technical specifications.
- Provide Professional Engineering Advice, guidance and assistance in various stages of research, development and deployment
- Formulate/estimate technical parameters that are not available from all source analysis.
- Support preparation of risk assessment reports, safety assessment reports, and technical data packages and presentation materials.
