Radiance Technologies, a rapidly growing employee-owned company, is seeking a Junior R&D Electrical Engineer to support various ongoing programs within the RF & HPM Testing Division. The engineer will: Design and conduct RF testing using laboratory equipment such as oscilloscopes, signal generators, spectrum analyzers, power amplifiers, etc. Design custom control systems to interface with devices and equipment Perform electronics design and failure analysis Participate in test events at critical or highly sensitive base or remote locations including customer or supplier facilities Participate in literature reviews, test design, and presentations The duties will include but are not limited to RF test design and instrumentation, hardware or software reverse engineering, technical design, analysis, testing of HPM systems, data acquisition devices, and digital control systems. This is an exciting opportunity to work in a laboratory setting while engaging in research and development in the area of High Power Microwaves. The work will include interacting with scientists, engineers, and technicians to conduct day-to-day testing, analyze test results, perform failure analyses, and write and present test summaries and scientific reports. Required Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or closely related discipline Minimum of 2 years of applicable experience (2 years substitution for MS) Experience with standard electrical laboratory equipment such as oscilloscopes, power supplies, function generators, multimeters, spectrum analyzers, vector network analyzers, and/or power amplifiers Experience with the design and analysis of analog and digital electronics Self-motivated and able to work well within research and development team US Citizenship with the ability to obtain a security clearance Desired Qualifications: Experience with the following software packages: LabVIEW C, C , and/or Python Altium, Eagle, and/or KiCAD Experience with related engineering disciplines such as hardware reverse engineering, antennas, EMI/EMC, analog electronics, digital electronics, software, control systems, etc. Experience with Design of Experiments practices and statistical methods Clearance: Applicants selected will be subject to a government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information.
