Who we are looking for: The ideal person for this Warehouse Worker position will be responsible for maintaining a safe and clean work environment; loading/unloading trucks, manually and/or driving forklift equipment to move freight, and/or perform other warehouse responsibilities. THIS IS A PHYSICAL JOB: LIFTING, STOOPING, BENDING IS NECESSARY. Please read Physical Demands requirements carefully before applying.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
- Perform janitorial duties weekly throughout the facility
- Read work orders or receive oral instructions to determine work assignments and material and equipment needs.
- Take out trash throughout the Office, Plant and Warehouse daily
- Move freight, stock, and other materials to and from storage and production areas, loading docks, delivery vehicles, and containers, by hand or using trucks, and/or forklift.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the warehouse
- Maintain equipment storage areas to ensure that inventory is protected.
- Be willing to help in other departments according to business needs
OTHER SKILLS and ABILITIES:
- Ability to load, unload, or stack containers, materials, or products, manually and/or using industrial powered equipment
- Ability to read work orders in English
- Must maintain safe work environment
PHYSICAL DEMANDS: While performing the duties of this job, the employee is required to occasionally sit, climb or balance; the employee is frequently required to reach with hands and arms; stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl; the employee is regularly required to stand, walk, use hands to finger, handle, or feel; talk or hear. In addition have the ability to routinely haul or lift up to 50 lbs. and occasionally haul or lift up to 100 lbs.
WORK ENVIRONMENT: The employee is occasionally exposed to fumes or airborne particles; is subject extreme weather conditions running hot or cold or humid; may frequently work near moving mechanical parts.
