What are the responsibilities and job description for the Cultural Consultant position at Radias Health?
The purpose of the contract CLAS Implementation Specialist guide assessment, workplan development and implementation of CLAS standards within the organization. The contract work will be completed between June 15, 2023 – June 30, 2026, averaging 10 hours a week. Grant funding for this work is made available through the Minnesota Department of Human Services grant.
The CLAS Implementation Specialist will work in collaboration and report recommendations, findings and updates through the Associate Director of Clinical Services.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Conduct an agency pre and post-CLAS implementation evaluation to facilitate an assessment of the agency’s growth over time.
- Assessment of organization strengths and areas for growth as indicated in CLAS Standards/contract project work plan.
- Develop and present recommendations to the executive leadership team. Facilitate development and monitoring of associated implementation plans. Identify strengths and barriers to work with in the work plan development process.
- Work with agency Directors and members of the leadership team to provide team-specific assessment, recommendations, and support in implementing CLAS standards.
- Provide education to all program managers, the internal Equity Inclusion and Diversity Committee and Race Equity Advisory Council, and all employees on the recommendations and planned next steps.
- In partnership with Human Resources, review agency practices and strategies to maximize DEI recruitment and retention. Partner on the development and implementation of identified strategies.
- Development and delivery of leadership training focused on supporting, and maximizing the strengths that accompany leadership of culturally and linguistically diverse teams.
- Partner with agency leadership to develop and provided training for all employees on strategies to maximize person-centered, trauma-informed practices, including understanding how systemic racism has led to health disparities and recommended practices for building trust, engagement, and culturally and linguistically congruent care.
- Partner with DHS to develop content for community education videos.
- Other responsibilities as agreed upon to further the agency’s implementation of CLAS standards.
- Experience completing agency or community needs assessment.
- Experience developing and implementing change management processes.
- Experience developing and delivering training.
- Experience supporting or managing programming related to equity, diversity or inclusion.
Preffered
- A degree in Human Services, Public Health, Public Policy, or Organizational Management related fields.
- Formal education and certification in Equity and Inclusion practices.
- Knowledge of Mental Health and Substance Use services.
- Knowledge of non-profit management strategies.
