- MENTAL HEALTH CLINICIAN -
The Mental Health Clinician (MHC) is a full time, W2- salaried position, 18-30 direct clinical hours a week (*tier dependant) and is responsible for supporting the continued development and implementation of the Radical Healing Collaborative’s vision, mission and strategy. The MHC reports directly to the Clinical Director (CD). This is a hybrid position (remote and in-office hours), 3-5 days a week (caseload dependent). The ideal candidate is a truly dedicated clinician, with a clear orientation to their clinical approach and goals, a dedication to personal growth, a team player who can take direction, and is motivated to provide exceptional therapeutic support.
Duties and responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Provide culturally mindful and whole person-centered, biopsychosocial assessments of patients and families to identify strengths and concerns related to patients' unique set of presenting circumstances.
- Assess and identify accurate diagnosis for management and appropriate course of treatment for patients seeking support for: mental health concerns, substance use concerns, or relief from the effects of trauma.
- Formulate, develop, and implement a comprehensive biopsychosocial treatment plan, utilizing appropriate clinical treatments and interventions, including: crisis intervention, brief and long-term individual, relational approaches, family and/or group therapies, medication management referral and general coordination of care.
- Maintain and develop session case notes for weekly review, document assessments and evaluation measures, formulate case plan and interventions in accordance with clinic guidelines and standards.
- Support the program coordinators and billing team in maintaining high levels of communication and appropriate ethical standards around billing and client management.
- Create, advertise, and facilitate 1-2 groups a year.
- Maintain high regard for compliance and confidentiality around patient and family information.
- Attend weekly peer supervision/peer consultation group, monthly all-staff meetings, and attend all other required staff, and training meetings .
- Provide training to other team members and/or provisionally licensed clinicians (if applicable).
- Perform other related duties incidental to the work described herein.
Compensation and Benefits: Salary expectations starting $50,000-$85,000 based on experience with up to $10,000 additional bonus pay, with 50-100% contribution towards a Platinum or Gold BCBS Health Insurance Plan (contribution based on total clinical hours), bonus and extra income opportunities, vision, dental, 5 weeks of paid time off, weekly group supervision, monthly treatment team meetings, 1:1 supervision for provisionally licensed clinicians, optional team retreats and opportunities for shared group meals, team trainings and restful community play. Additional pay for NC state certified clinical supervisors, BIPOC clinicians, and Bilingual clinicians able to provide clinical treatment to monolingual, non-english speaking patients.
Licensure Requirements: Clinicians should be in good standing and licensed by their respective board in the state of NC; fully licensed clinicians preferred; highly qualified provisionally licensed clinicians, encouraged to apply.
Education and Employment Requirements: Master’s or PhD, and clear expectation that candidate has done work around dismantling white supremacy, advocacy for sexual and gender diversity, dismantling anti-Black racism and understands abolitionist, liberation focused healing work. Strong applicants will have a clear, demonstrated history and experience working for people with marginalized and minoritized identities. Clinicians practicing from a clear theoretical orientation with specialized training or certifications in modality of practice are highly preferred ( EMDR, SE, TF-CBT, DBT, brain spotting, Hakomi, etc). Provisionally licensed clinicians must have at least one year of didactic outpatient clinical experience, in addition to 2 years of MSW internship experience, and clinical area of focus and or interest, for employment consideration.
