- Troubleshoot, repair and update electronic equipment to the component level.
- Document and log all work performed and test all repairs to a documented standard.
- Perform equipment tests to various standards.
- Assist Engineers with assigned duties including documentation, prototyping and installation.
- Aid with manufacturing and assembly departments.
Qualification requirements: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill and/or ability required.
- Experience with consumer audio/video equipment repair.
- Knowledge of digital theory and circuits.
- Must have basic PC skills and be proficient with standard test equipment including digital multi-meters and oscilloscopes.
- Be able to read and follow schematics.
- Good solder skills.
- Mechanically inclined and be proficient with power and hand tools.
- Detail oriented with good problem solving and communication skills.
- Degree and/or certificate in electronics or equivalent experience.
