About Job Description:
Rae Studios is a dance studio overlooking downtown San Francisco, located inside the Native Sons building serving our community since 2011. Our facility features three unique plant-inspired spaces. Studio 1: "Live Your Life S1", Studio 2: "Rhythm and Flow" and Studio 3: "Creative Lab". Our spaces serve as studio rentals and private lessons by day and group classes by evening and weekends. Centralized around hotels, shopping and various restaurants, Rae Studios is easily accessible by BART and MUNI. Our in-person and online group classes feature a diverse instructor roster of 25 teachers and 40 classes a week. Our community welcomes people of all levels offering classes focused around dance including yoga for stretching, fitness for strength, cardio for endurance, and dance for technique & training.
The front desk studio host is responsible for all in-session classes. They are responsible for checking in students and provide superior customer service while assisting clients in class selections and membership questions. The studio host is the face of the studio during class hours.
Role and Responsibilities:
The front desk clerk will be assisting with a variety of duties within the studio. Job responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Maintain inventory of supplies and products for the studio
- Become knowledgeable about the facility and services in order to better communicate with students or clients
- Greet each student with a smile and friendly demeanor
- Maintain a flexible schedule to support the needs of the studio and guests
- Provide proper opening and closing housekeeping responsibilities
- Maintain positive attitude
- Follow up with students before and after their class to gain feedback
- Answering inquiries via phone or in person
- Lead check-in process for arriving students
- Offering studio tours to clients
- Managing social media accounts
- Capturing film and photos of classes in session
- Sales and upselling for group classes
- Retail purchases via MindBody
- Availability to attend monthly team meetings
- Set up and break down for studio rentals
- Must be available for monthly meetings scheduled for the first Friday of each month
Qualifications and Education Requirements
- High School diploma, but college degree preferred.
- Customer service experience
- Previous experience handling money
- Excellent communication, customer service skills, and work ethic
- Efficient, well organized, and able to handle a variety of duties simultaneously
- Excellent verbal and written skills
- Energetic, enthusiastic, and motivational
- Strong team player
- Ability to lift 25lbs.
- Availability to work nights, weekends, and holidays
- Availability to stand for long periods of time
- Self-directed and able to work without supervision
