Rainbow Hill Recovery is a mental health and substance use outpatient treatment program provided by queer people for queer people. Rainbow Hill Recovery is a LGBTQIA competent program that supports LGBTQIA adults designed recovering from substance abuse and mental distress.

Job Summary:
Rainbow Hill Recovery is seeking compassionate, skilled, dedicated, and experienced Group Facilitators to support the clinical care of LGBTQIA adults. Reporting to the Clinical Director, the Group Facilitator's role is to provide safe therapeutic support to individuals participating in group therapy and counseling sessions within our treatment center.
Group Therapy Time 12:30-1:30pm
Pay Range: $70-$80/group for a 1 hr group session
Major Responsibilities:
- Lead and facilitate group therapy sessions, providing a supportive and inclusive environment for participants to engage in open dialogue, share their experiences, and receive feedback and guidance.
- Upholds and maintains the Company mission, and values.
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation of group sessions.
- Collaborates and consults with members of the treatment team to provide continuity of care.
- Participates in self and peer audits of documentation to ensure compliance with licensure and accreditation standards.
- Participate in ongoing professional development and training opportunities.
- Foster a safe, affirming, and supportive therapeutic environment that respects and validates clients' identities and experiences.
- Maintain Ethical and Confidentiality Standards
Qualifications
- Hold valid certification as a drug and alcohol counselor (e.g., CADC, CAADC) or registration (e.g. RADT) in the state of California
- Valid and unrestricted associate number or license as a mental health therapist (AMFT/ACSW or LMFT/LCSW/Psy.D)
- Certification in you area of focus.
- Minimum of 1 year of experience working with trauma, gender and sexual minorities, diverse clients or related educational experience.
- Knowledge of trauma-informed care principles and practices.
- Knowledge of affirming therapy principles and practices.
- Strong cultural competence and understanding of the unique challenges faced by LGBTQIA individuals.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in working in PHP/IOP/OP settings, addiction services, mental health services and/or with LGBTQIA community.
- Familiarity with community resources and support networks for LGBTQIA individuals.
- Additional certifications or training in specialized therapeutic modalities such as nutritional counseling/nutrition, Chemsex, sex therapy, trauma informed practices, integrative practices, affirming care, gender affirming care.
- Additional training or certifications for working with specialized communities such as LGBTQIA , BIPOC, and/or other marginalized communities.
Specific Skills/Competencies:
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills.
General Skills and Requirements:
- Able to communicate effectively in English, both verbally and in writing.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to create a supportive, non-judgmental, and empathetic therapeutic environment.
