Duties
- Safely climb trees using rigging techniques to perform pruning, trimming, or removal tasks while ensuring stability and adherence to safety protocols
- Operate bucket trucks and bucket lifts to access high branches or perform elevated maintenance efficiently
- Conduct ground-based landscape maintenance including lawn care, shrub trimming, planting, and general landscaping tasks
- Assist with tree care activities such as planting, staking, fertilizing, and pest management to promote healthy growth
- Use GIS (Geographic Information Systems) tools for mapping and documenting tree locations and health assessments
- Perform rigging operations for safe removal of hazardous limbs or trees using ropes, pulleys, and other equipment
- Maintain equipment including pruning tools, bucket trucks, rigging gear, and safety gear to ensure optimal performance
- Support team members in growing experience through mentorship and shared knowledge of horticulture practices
Qualifications
- Proven experience in tree care, landscaping, or horticulture with a focus on tree trimming or pruning techniques
- Ability to safely climb trees using rigging methods and operate bucket trucks or lifts (bucket operation experience preferred)
- Knowledge of landscape maintenance including lawn care and general horticultural practices
- Familiarity with GIS mapping tools for landscape planning or asset management is a plus
- Strong understanding of safety procedures related to tree climbing, rigging, bucket operation, and equipment use
- Growing experience in arboriculture or horticulture is highly desirable; relevant certifications are a plus
- Excellent physical condition with the ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions
