Warehouse Data Entry Clerk

Job Overview:

We are seeking a detail-oriented and reliable Data Entry Clerk to join our warehouse team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for accurately entering and maintaining receiving data, verifying records, and ensuring seamless communication between departments

Key Responsibilities - Among other things, your primary responsibilities will include:

  • Examine all inbound and outbound paperwork for accuracy and make any necessary corrections if required.
  • Data entry of all inbound and inventory POs to SAP.
  • Scan documents, print files, sort and organize paperwork after entering data to ensure it is not lost.
  • Organizes and archives records and documents.
  • Processing of all inter warehouse transfers and item holds as needed.
  • Management of Receiving Appointment calendar.
  • Monitoring and triage of all incoming warehouse emailed questions/requests.
  • Respond to vendors and freight companies' calls, messages, and emails pertaining to shipping, receiving, inventory, and purchase orders.
  • Verifies all product matches delivery paperwork.
  • Turn in all required paperwork to Receiving Clerks noting any variance or discrepancies.
  • Responsible for establishing and maintaining effective communication and coordination with Rainforest team with respect to inventory issues.
  • Research and obtain further information for incomplete documents
  • Monitor and maintain the inventory by providing inventory reports through inventory counting and reconciliation.
  • Provides additional backup support for other departments as needed.
  • Attend and participate in meetings and committees as required.
  • Ensure proper use of office equipment and address any malfunctions

Qualifications:

High school diploma or equivalent. Continued Education a Plus

Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel

Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.

Strong communication skills and ability to work in a team-oriented environment.

Prior experience in a warehouse or logistics environment is preferred.

Data Entry Responsibilities:

  • Record incoming shipments and outgoing deliveries in the company's database or inventory management system.
  • Enter data accurately, including item descriptions, quantities, shipment dates, and tracking information.
  • Maintain and update records of inventory levels, incoming shipments, and outgoing orders.
  • Generate reports related to dispatching and inventory as needed.
  • Verify the accuracy of received items against packing lists, purchase orders, or other documentation.
  • Check for damages, discrepancies, or quality issues and report them to the appropriate department and vendor.

Communication:

  • Act as a link between warehouse staff, and other relevant departments to ensure a smooth flow of goods.
  • Communicate with vendors or suppliers regarding shipment-related issues, delays, or changes.

Inventory Control:

  • Assist in maintaining accurate inventory levels by updating records for received items, returns, and adjustments.

Problem Solving:

  • Address and resolve any discrepancies, missing items, or damaged goods in coordination with the warehouse or purchasing team.

Documentation:

  • Maintain organized records of shipping/receiving documents and bill of ladings are complete with all counts, signature, date, description of product, receiving reports, and inventory transactions.
  • Ensure compliance with company and regulatory documentation requirements.

Efficiency and Accuracy:

  • Perform data entry and record-keeping tasks with a high level of accuracy and efficiency to prevent inventory discrepancies.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $18.00 - $19.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
