About the Role
We are seeking a Beef Pricing Manager (Sales-Focused) to lead pricing strategy while actively supporting sales execution in a fast-paced, vertically integrated beef operation. This role is responsible for pricing beef cuts, trim, and offal while partnering closely with Sales, Operations, and Procurement to optimize margin, carcass utilization, and revenue growth.
This position is ideal for a commercially minded professional who understands beef markets, carcass economics, and how pricing drives profitable growth.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and manage pricing strategies for beef cuts, trim, and offal across conventional, grass-fed, and organic programs.
- Maintain price lists, formulas, and customer-specific pricing structures.
- Support sales negotiations, bids, RFPs, and contract pricing.
- Manage assigned customer accounts, including pricing reviews and volume planning.
- Monitor beef market trends, USDA reports, and competitive pricing.
- Analyze margin performance and pricing effectiveness by product and customer.
- Forecast volume, revenue, and margin aligned with production capacity.
- Partner cross-functionally with Operations, Procurement, QA, and Finance to align pricing with supply and yields.
- Ensure pricing accuracy and discipline within ERP and order management systems.
Key Responsiblities
Required:
- 5 years of experience in beef, protein, or commodity pricing and sales.
- Strong understanding of beef cuts, trim, offal, and carcass economics.
- Advanced Excel skills and strong analytical capability.
- Experience supporting or managing customer relationships.
Preferred:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Agriculture, Economics, or related field.
- Experience in vertically integrated beef processing.
- Familiarity with USDA reports, boxed beef markets, and formula pricing.
- ERP and pricing system experience.
