What are the responsibilities and job description for the Orthodontic Assistant position at Rainier Valley Orthodontics?
Rainier Valley Orthodontics is looking for an exceptional part time OR full time clinical technician. We are looking for a team player with a great attitude, friendly disposition, and excellent organization, communication and listening skills. No experienced required, we are willing to train!
Candidates must display open communication to co-workers and a commitment to absolute patient satisfaction.

Essential Responsibilities:
1. Patient Flow
- Cleaning and preparation of units before/after each patient Greeting and seating patients Anticipate and assist the orthodontist's needs at all times Charting of patient procedures and patient communications Dismissal of a patient, explanation of procedure to parent with a review of progress
2. Clinical Procedures to include (but not limited to)
- Alginate impressions for appliances Capture of digital radiographs Intraoral photographs Extraoral photographs Utilization of an intraoral scanner All banding and bonding procedures Fabrication and/or fitting of orthodontic appliances/retainers Placement and removal of separators Changing archwires and ties Delivery of retainers and other removable appliances Adjustment of removable appliances Delivery of patient instructions for cooperation and motivation Documentation of all communication Documentation of procedures in patient chart
