What are the responsibilities and job description for the Patient Account Coordinator position at Raleigh Orthopaedic Clinic?
Full-Time Position - Raleigh Office. The Patient Accounts coordinator closely with the PSR’s at all locations to achieve collection of monies owed previously as well as current balances. Works with CBO on challenging balances and makes notes in patient charts for PSR’s to have a smooth flow when patients come in with balances and answers all questions they may have. Insurance knowledge, working billing screen and an exceled knowledge base on how to read accounts and document are high priority. Knowledge on how to verify benefits, explain benefits to ROTS and ROC PSR’s to ensure they are comfortable explaining to patients as well as working with the ROTS/ROC Patient Services Supervisor and Patient Services Manager.
Qualifications: Position requires one-year experience in benefit verification and previous medical appointment scheduling background. Ability to work in a high stress environment and maintain excellent public relations skills. Must be computer literate.
Salary : $37,800 - $47,900
