What are the responsibilities and job description for the Finishing Operator position at Ramco Specialties Inc?
PURPOSE
The finishing operator finishes and assembles small parts. This is an entry level skillset and training can be done on the job
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned. To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.
Assembly of small parts
Use bending fixtures to shape parts
Use presses to install parts
Use hand tools
Perform QA checks on running parts
Replace labels and ribbons on label makers
Basic piece and time transactions on RF scanner
Lubricate equipment as needed
Use of basic quality gages
Meet production schedules and timelines
Complete all paperwork the role requires
Follow all work instructions in the department
WORKING CONDITIONS
1. Hard working surfaces for standing and walking
2. Temperature variations within plant environment based on season
3. Continual exposure to above 85b
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS listed below are indicative of the knowledge, skills, and abilities required to be successful in this position.
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Lift up to 50lb
- Overtime availability
- Ability to perform at high levels in a fast pace constantly changing environment
- Ability to work as part of a team
Personal Skills and Competencies
- Experience with RF guns
- Basic computer skills
- Mechanical aptitude
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- 1 to 3 years in a manufacturing environment
- Strong communication skills

1 Constant standing, walking, bending, climbing, and lifting
2 Intermittently lifting and moving up to 50 pound boxes

Pay: $17.00 - $19.00 per hour
