Rancho Cielo empowers youth through educational programs, mentorships, and community engagement. We are seeking a passionate and detail-oriented Grant Manager to join our team. The Grant Manager will oversee the entire grant process, from research and writing to submission and reporting. This position plays a crucial role in securing funding to sustain and expand our programs, positively impacting the lives of the youth we serve.
EMPLOYMENT CLASSIFICATION: Full Time/Exempt
SUPERVISION RECEIVED AND EXERCISED
Receives supervision from Rancho Cielo’s Sr. Director of College, Career & Career Technical Education.
EXAMPLES OF ESSENTIAL DUTIES - Duties may include, but are not limited to, the following:
- Grant research and identification; identify relevant grant opportunities that align with the organization’s mission and programs.
- Maintain an up-to-date database of potential funders, including foundations, corporations, and government agencies.
- Write compelling and competitive grant proposals in collaboration with program staff.
- Develop budgets and justifications for proposed projects, ensuring accuracy and alignment with grant requirements.
- Manage the grant application process, ensuring all deadlines and submissions are complete.
- Liaise with funders to clarify requirements and expectations regarding reporting outcomes.
- Prepare and submit timely reports to funders, ensuring grant terms and conditions adherence.
- Maintain accurate records of grant activities, expenditures, and outcomes.
- Provide training and support to staff on grant writing and management best practices.
- Develop a strong understanding of organizational programs to communicate their impact to funders effectively.
- Cultivate and maintain relationships with funders and potential partners.
- Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications & Requirements:
- Proven track record of securing funding from diverse sources.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong organizational and analytical skills, with attention to detail.
- Ability to work collaboratively and build relationships with stakeholders.
- Familiarity with grant management software and project management tools.
- Knowledge of youth development issues and the non-profit landscape.
- Experience with budget development and financial reporting.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite.
- Experienced with Blackbaud software is preferred.
Education, Training, and Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in non-profit management, business communications, or a related field.
- 3 years of experience in grant writing and management, preferably in a non-profit environment focused on youth development.
