Shipping Clerical
POSITION SUMMARY
Shipping Clerical Admin will work in a support role for the distribution center. Shipping Clerical will be responsible for the day-to-day TMS functions, including coordinating, scheduling, and planning customer shipments. Other responsibilities will include communication with carriers, customers, and customer service, data entry and problem solving.
KEY JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
- Manage multiple customer accounts.
- Communicate with Customer Service, Carriers, Customers, and the DC via Email in a timely and professional manner.
- Perform general clerical duties as assigned, including answering, and directing phone calls, filing and data entry.
- Process over, short, and damaged freight and related documentation for customer resolution
- Create and plan loading schedule based on carrier requests.
- Prepare documents for daily shipments, IE Bills of Lading, Shipping Manifests
- Communicate and work with Shipping dock associates.
- Follow all CTPAT security requirements.
Education
- High school diploma or GED preferred.
Relevant Work Experience/Skills
- Ability to Multitask.
- Strong organizational skills.
- Effective and strong communication skills via email, and phone.
- PC knowledge, preferably MS Office; Word, Excel, MS Outlook, Teams, etc.
- Prior Shipping Clerical experience preferred.
- Prior warehouse experience preferred.
Physical Requirements
- Lift and carry up to twenty-five (25) pounds.
- Reach above shoulder level and bend down to floor level.
