What are the responsibilities and job description for the Transportation Aide/Driver position at Randolph County Government?
Performs semiskilled work driving and transporting participants to and from appointments, and related work as apparent or assigned. Conducts routine minimal maintenance on vehicles, oversees inspections, and logs of all maintenance. This individual is responsible for creating transportation schedules for other PT Transportation staff. Addresses all flat tires, and in field work. Work is performed under the limited supervision of the Day Reporting Center Executive Director.
Minimum Education and Experience:
High School Diploma or GED, valid North Carolina Driver’s License upon hire or ability to obtain one within 60 days of employment. Must have basic knowledge of routine vehicle maintenance.
Special Comments:
Must have valid North Carolina driver’s license, good driving record, and transportation for use at work. This position assists with transporting juveniles living in Randolph County. CPR/First Aid Certification is required within the first 6 months of employment. Background Check and Drug Screen Required. Work Hours: Monday through Friday.
