We are seeking a Power BI Analyst for an assignment at a retail client (36.25 hours per week) with the potential for extension and possible opportunities within the organization. The role involves creating Power BI dashboards for Store Operations to improve reporting efficiency and effectiveness. The ideal candidate is a self-starter, able to work independently and with a team, and will collaborate with various business partners to source, analyze, and report data from large datasets. Responsibilities include designing reports, documenting processes, training end users, and supporting ad-hoc reporting needs. A Bachelor's Degree in Finance, Accounting, Data Science, Information Technology, or a related field is required, along with 3-5 years of experience in Power BI, Microsoft Excel, data warehousing, and analytics. Experience in the off-price model and working with large datasets is preferred. Remote candidates are welcome, but please indicate your location at the top of the resume.

responsibilities:
Partners with various business partners to source data from various data sets
Identifies new reporting opportunities & creates reports based on business need
Designs reports and data bases
Training for end users on reporting
Documents process flow of reporting
Demonstrates a keen understanding of data; identifies and translates the connections and core issues to operational and financial controls.
Special projects and other duties as assigned
Supports ad-hoc reporting as needed
Work closely with the business to improve the data collection and quality
Requirements
Bachelor's Degree Required (Preferred in Finance, Accounting, Data Science, Information Technology, Computer Science, etc.)
3-5 years of professional experience
Intermediate to advanced Power BI and Microsoft Excel experience
Advanced Analytical skills
Off-price model understanding
Good understanding of data warehousing and data lake architecture
Experience working with large datasets to extract, manipulate and analyze performance using business intelligence tools
