Primary Job Responsibilities
- Teach five sections of Upper School math
- Mentor students in advisory and co-curricular activities, participate in division and department meetings, and serve in various supervisory roles.
- Facilitate in the Upper School’s “Maymester” program, an experiential education program that takes place over the last two weeks of the school year
The Ideal Candidate
- will have an advanced degree in mathematics, math education, or a related field, and experience teaching high school
- will be able to teach levels from Algebra I to calculus including statistics
- will be passionate about educating adolescents up to meaningful, relevant, and high academic standards
- will be particularly enthusiastic about making calculus accessible to a range of motivated, college-bound learners
- will have a growth mindset for oneself and one’s students
- will foster collegial interactions with one’s peers and kind and positive interactions with students and parents
