What are the responsibilities and job description for the Housekeeping position at Ransomville Manor?
A housekeeper, also known as environmental services (EVS) technician, cleans and disinfects various areas of our facility, including resident rooms, living rooms, restrooms, dining rooms, staff break room, offices and other spaces.
They make sure these parts of the building remain sterile and sanitary for patients, visitors and medical staff. Typically, they follow stringent guidelines and practices to ensure they clean equipment, objects and spaces thoroughly to prevent contamination.
While their exact job duties can vary, a facility cleaner often performs the following tasks :
- Clean and sanitize resident rooms and common spaces
- Use chemicals and supplies to disinfect and sterilize frequently touched surfaces
- Remove trash and dispose of medical waste properly
- Gather laundry , such as bedsheets, towels, and resident clothing etc.
- Sanitize and clean sinks, toilets, floors and other surfaces in restrooms
- Follow infection-control standards and hospital policies to ensure safety
Our housekeeping staff plays an important role in keeping our residents and staff healthy and happy.
We are looking for shifts 10-6 or 11-7, Monday thru Friday & every other weekend.
