$10,000 commitment bonus.
Typical hours are Monday- Friday, 7a - 3:30p
Qualifications:
- Current Registered Nurse License by the Virginia State Board of Nursing
- At least two to five years management experience
- Long-term care and skilled nursing experience preferred
- Experience working with MDS and Medicare and Medicaid regulations
- Knowledge of Quality Indicators
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
Responsibilities:
| 1. Work directly with the Director of Nursing and assume responsibility for administration of the Health Center in the absence of the Director of Nursing. |
| 2. Share on-call responsibilities with the Director of Nursing. |
| Provide the highest quality of service to the residents at all times. |
| Provides oversight of the nursing staff in following Physician orders for resident care and outcomes. |
| Oversee management of resident care assuring that the comprehensive plan of care is maintained. Assure that all duties assigned are properly executed and thoroughly completed. Monitor and direct nursing staff in following proper policy, procedures and protocols. |
| Responsible for monitoring medical records for proper documentation of resident services. |
| Active participation in Care Plan updates and pertinent changes. |
| Assist the DON in providing oversight of orientation of new nursing staff and validate their skill level for providing proper care in accordance with nursing standards. Monitor Staff and coach staff performance for quality and completion. Complete daily rounds of all residents. Assist DON with staff performance reviews. Recommend and coordinate training needs of nursing staff. |
| Provide direct nursing care to residents as required or deemed necessary. |
| Assist the Director of Nursing in preparation of statistical and budget reports. |
