Position: Business Development Specialist

Location: Remote

Reports to: President

Monday-Friday, Full-time, Dedicated hours – flexible US EST hours

Summary of position:

The BD Specialists supports the President in focusing on business development for the organization. No task is too small or too large if it comes to the company's success. The BD Specialist grasps concepts quickly and can run with minimal instruction, stays organized, anticipates needs, and takes initiatives to keep the organization running and growing smoothly. Most importantly, the BD Specialist pays close attention to detail and represents the President by being friendly and capable.

This position is fully remote.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

Business development activities:

· Identify target conferences to attend

· Find and submit proposals for speaking engagements for the President

· Research and build target lists

· Create email sequences in HubSpot

· Schedule, and attend sales meetings (when requested)

· Create and interpret a variety of reports and analytics

Marketing:

· Monitor social media and respond/engage as appropriate

· Maintaining PR database - pitching, tracking, and follow-up for podcast guest spots, speaking opportunities and other PR activities.

· Create PowerPoint presentations

· Order and send marketing collateral

Administrative:

· Email management - monitoring messages and responding as appropriate

· Maintain and utilize the HubSpot CRM database and marketing tools

· Add and update contacts in HubSpot

· Systematize and document processes for business development and sales

· Test out new technologies for business development

· Provide exceptional customer experience to all - internally and externally

· Arrange for travel

· Renew certificates

Requirements:

· Proven work experience in a similar role

· Familiarity with HubSpot or sales CRM preferred

· Excellent verbal and written communication skills

· Proficiency in MS Office and ability to learn new programs and technologies quickly

· Ability to meet deadlines

· Must be VERY organized and detail oriented

· A team player with the ability to also work alone with minimal supervision

· A passion for learning about our industry, cultures, and languages

· Must have a computer and quiet workspace.
