What are the responsibilities and job description for the General Vegetable Farm Laborer position at Rare Earth Farm?
Assist with vegetable production in the growing, harvest, and packaging of a wide assortment of produce sold to private customers, and local area restaurants. We are not certified organic but all requirements for the national organic program are adhered to.
To be considered for the position, you should have at minimum one year of work experience pertaining to vegetable production. Include on your resume any farm related work experience when applying. You need to possess the physical stamina to maintain a sufficient pace on the job, and be in top physical condition. The job starts on May 1st and ends on October 31st, offering $14 per hour initially with potential wage increases based on performance. Applicants need to be from the local area, arrange their own housing, and have reliable transportation.
