Brewer Veterinary Clinic in Brewer, ME is looking for a compassionate and engaged Veterinary Assistant!
Key Responsibilities:
- Communicating with clients
- Checking in and out clients
- Assisting veterinarian with appointments
- Executing treatment orders from the veterinarian
- Performing blood draws
- Collecting urine samples
- Taking Radiographs
- Restraining animals
- Administering medications
- Keeping cages clean and sanitized
- Walking, feeding, and picking up after the animals
- Various housekeeping duties (laundry, dishes, taking out garbage etc.)
- Filling prescribed medications
Requirements:
- Team-oriented
- Ability to multi-task
- Ability to lift 50 pounds
About Us: Brewer Veterinary Clinic is an AAHA accredited, high volume, small animal practice. We have five doctors on staff and we treat all small animals, including exotics! Our dedicated staff consists of a team of kennel pet caregivers, receptionists, licensed veterinary technicians, veterinary assistants, and veterinarians.
