Excellent opportunity for a technical engineer with a nationally-recognized forensic structural consulting firm based in our Chicago area office. We are looking for a candidate that has motivation, commitment, and enthusiasm to succeed. Candidate must have an interest in the evaluation, investigation, and repair design of structures or structural components.
Responsibilities
- Forensic investigation and analysis
- Field testing
- Analysis of structural component and system applications
- Repair design and specification development
- Structural peer review; shop drawing / submittal review
- Must have a master degree in Civil Engineering / Structures or pursuing a master degree in Civil Engineering / Structures
- Strong writing ability and communication skills
- Knowledge of building science concepts and application to enclosure design and performance
- Strong analytical ability in structural analysis and computer analysis programs
- Ability to travel, perform field work, and work independently
- Self-starter with genuine interest in career growth to Project Management
- Active involvement in related professional organizations is preferred.
