The Annual Giving Manager will focus on strategically strengthening and expanding the organization's annual giving program with a goal of significantly increasing the base of annual gifts through frontline prospect and donor management. They will focus on cultivation and stewardship efforts as well as utilizing targeted appeals, annual campaigns, and individual face-to-face meetings.

Essential Job Functions of Annual Giving Manager:

  • Develops and executes an annual giving solicitation plan for the fiscal year that includes fundraising strategies to launch various giving opportunities for Rawhide Youth Services.
  • Manages and serves as the contact for the Staff/Board Campaign and digital campaigns such as Giving Tuesday. Manages annual giving circles such as the Impact Club and plans its solicitation/stewardship activities and events. Manages annual thank-a-thons.
  • Manages a portfolio of annual giving prospects and helps qualify prospective major donors.
  • Cultivates, stewards and solicits donors and prospects through targeted appeals/campaigns/individual in-person and virtual meetings/contacts and electronic and written appeals.
  • Works with donors and RYC Leadership in designating gifts such as memorial/honorary gifts, church giving programs and special project or program initiatives.
  • Develops a schedule and marketing plan for donor acquisitions and renewals. Works with the Development & Marketing Teams to coordinate the schedule and strategies for annual giving appeals and direct mail. This includes actively supporting creative concepts, reviewing appeal content and overseeing mailing procedures.
  • Participates in developing supporting communication strategies for internal and external audiences.
  • Works with the Development Team to identify and segment data for appeals and special projects, as well as produce database reports and queries to track campaigns and appeals status. Analyzes data and makes appropriate adjustments to activities and programs to ensure strong results. Performs annual evaluation of annual giving efforts each fiscal year and generates a comprehensive annual plan for the coming fiscal year.
  • Tracks trends in annual giving donor activity, focusing on donor retention and building annual giving donor base.
  • Protects the credibility of the Rawhide Mission by complying with the Rawhide standard of conduct; setting an example, in words and actions,that is consistent with the values and beliefs of Rawhide.
  • Maintains professional and technical knowledge by completing required trainings; attending educational workshops; reviewing professional publications; establishing personal networks; participating in professional societies.
  • Creates and implements plans to maintain annual donor funds
  • Builds relationships and communicates with existing donors & referral sources
  • Conducts research to determine new donor channels/sources
  • Performs other related duties as assigned.

Job Qualifications of Annual Giving Manager:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in a related field preferred, or equivalent experience
  • Ability to prioritize, organize and manage multiple priorities/projects
  • Strong customer service and relationship management skills
  • Ability to work independently on various projects and tasks
  • Proficient knowledge of Microsoft Office
  • Familiarity with various CRM and donor management systems preferred
  • Willingness and ability to work extended hours, nights, and weekends as needed during prime event seasons
  • Valid Driver’s License required

Salary : $52,000 - $65,800
