Research Technician Job Description
RayBiotech is expanding its scientific and production teams, and are seeking capable research technicians. Research technicians work side by side with PhD level scientists on any of several product lines. You will have opportunity to expand your experience and capabilities at the bench, whether you desire growth in the lab space on the industry side or want bench experience before moving up or heading to graduate school. Seeking those with in flow cytometry, LAMP/PCR, immunology, virology, ELISA, multiplexing, and production of proteins and antibodies. Research technician work with lead and junior scientists, our technical support team, and other lab members to address and resolve inquiries or problems. ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
- Plan, perform, report, present and trouble-shoot experiments under the guidance of a scientist. Prepares components in accordance with SOPs
- Labels components and informs Production Supervisor that it has passed all QC testing and puts components into stock in location from Production Supervisor.
- If any processes are nonconforming a Corrective Action Request is raised and product quarantined.
- Reports any issues to the Production Supervisor.
- Summarize and organize experimental data. Provide testing services, support production and R&D of aptamer products Informs the QA unit of any calibration or maintenance requirements
- Informs the QA unit of upcoming inspection requirements.
- Informs purchasing if raw material stock levels are getting low.
- Performs internal tests on. Provide testing services, support production and R&D of aptamer products. or obtains data from other technicians or scientists on standardization test when required
- Helps in kit assembly as requested by the Production Supervisor.
- Ensures all production records are maintained according to procedures
- Cleans the production areas according to procedures. And maintains personnel hygiene in accordance with procedures.
JOB SPECIFICATIONS:
- Bachelor’s degree in biology or related science
- Minimum of two years related laboratory research experience
- Trained in the specific production of kit procedures.
- Trained in internal procedures on inspection processes for the production of Kits
- Excellent written, verbal and interpersonal communication skills,
- Demonstrated ability to multi-task.
- Demonstrated understanding of all internal policies and procedures relating to RayBiotechs GLP compliance and GMP compliance requirements and ISO13485.
- Ability to use excel spreadsheets and manage inventory levels
- Ability to understand acceptable stock levels of the various components.
JOB SPECIFICATIONS:
- Ability to sit for extended periods of time, up to four (4) hours/time.
- Ability to lift, tug, pull up to twenty-five (25) pounds.
- Ability to operate a computer keyboard.
- Ability to stand for extended periods of times.
- Ability to sustain diverse activities simultaneously
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $35,000.00 - $40,000.00 per year
