What are the responsibilities and job description for the Material Handler position at Raycap Inc?
Raycap, Inc., an industry leader in manufacturing solutions for telecommunications, renewable energy, transportation, defense, and other applications, is currently looking for a third-shift Material Handler in our Kearny, NJ facility. This is a fast-paced position in a metal manufacturing environment.
Material Handlers are responsible for the packing, loading, unloading, and transporting materials throughout the warehouse. Supervision is close and involves detailed instructions and frequent checking of work performance. May assist more senior level personnel on more complex tasks.
Primary Job Responsibilities:
- Fill orders and package materials and finished products
- Unloads materials from trucks
- Operate a computer terminal for data input
- Prepare and package finished goods for shipping
- Prepare documentation regarding exporting materials and finished product
- Stacks and ships trade show and demonstration materials as directed by sales/marketing departments
- Using a forklift, pallet jack or hand truck, distributes incoming freight to appropriate departments
- Has the obligation to be aware of and comply with environmental, safety policies and regulations and always endures duties of high-quality standards
Job Requirements:
- High school diploma or GED
- Basic data entry skills
- Ability to follow written and verbal directions
- Must be able to lift up to 75 pounds
Third Shift: Saturday through Wednesday 11:30 pm - 7:30 am *Includes an additional shift pay differential*
BREAK/LUNCH: 30-minute lunch, plus two 15-minute breaks, to be determined by manager

- Medical/Dental/Vision/HRA/Annuity - 6 months from date of hire
- Vacation Time - will begin effective June 30th, after 6 months of continuous employment.
