DescriptionThis position will follow our hybrid work model, we expect the selected candidate to be in office 2-3 days a week at one of the following office locations : St. Petersburg, FL; Memphis, TNJob Summary : As part of our Client Access software engineering team at Raymond James, this Lead Engineer will analyze business requirements, drive research to architect, design and implement solutions and support all levels of the Raymond James client portal. In this role, you will be responsible to perform activities associated with all stages of SDLC, lead and collaborate with team members and various stakeholders.Essential Duties and Responsibilities : Java software development using Spring Boot, Hibernate, SQL, REST services.Analyzes system requirements, including identifying program interactions and appropriate interfaces between impacted components and sub systems.Partner with a cross-functional team to imagine, design, develop, and test.Participate in the development, code reviews, testing, deployment, and delivery of large-scale software applications, systems, and services.Build relationships with Development Managers, Engineers and Project Managers across various teams.Participate in Agile project management methodologies to provide technical leadership and project management for all aspects of the software development lifecycle (SDLC).Stay up to date with tools, trends, technologies and frameworks and develop proof of concepts.Makes recommendations towards the development of new code or to reuse of existing code.Participates in software system testing and validation procedures, programming and documentation.Comfortable working in an environment that requires on call support to ensure system availability.Ensures proper analysis of problems and programming approaches to prevent rework and schedule slippage.Performs other duties and responsibilities as assigned.QualificationsSkilled in / Knowledge of : Solid experience in working with all stages of SDLC and respective stake holders.Excellent verbal and written communication skills with ability to coordinate with all stake holders of the application (Peers, IT Partners, Business Operations and Vendors).Solid experience in working as a Lead Software Engineer preferable in a Financial Services Industry, Trade, Regulatory and Compliance, Client Statements and Confirmations is a plus.Solid experience in Full-stack application development, with following specializations.o Java Spring Booto Database programming (SQL Server and Oracle), SSIS and SSRS, Data Models, and Stored Procedures.o Strong understanding of front-end engineering using a modern framework is a plus.o Experience with .Net / C# is a plus.Experience in working and supporting batch-jobs and scheduling service platforms like BMC.Good experience in working with CICD based tools and technologies.Good experience in working with various forms of testing (UI, Integration, Regression).Good experience in working on a self-service based request platforms like Service Now.Exposure to Generative AI platforms is a plus.Ability to : Build partnership, Collaborate with Cross-functional teams, be a steward of the team, develop solutions at enterprise level.Identify and understand issues, problems, and opportunities; compare data from different sources to draw conclusions.Clearly convey information and ideas through a variety of media to individuals or groups in a manner that engages the audience and helps them understand and retain the message.Use effective approaches for choosing a course of action or developing appropriate solutions; recommend or take action that is consistent with available facts, constraints and probable consequences.Demonstrate a satisfactory level of technical and professional skill or knowledge in position-related areas; remains current with developments and trends in areas of expertise.Develop and use collaborative relationships to facilitate the accomplishment of work goals.Make internal and external clients and their needs a primary focus of actions; develop and sustain productive client relationships.Occasionally work a non-standard shift including nights and / or weekends and / or have on-call responsibilities.Enthusiastic and Innovative to work in a challenging environment.Education / Previous ExperienceMinimum of a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, MIS, Business or related degree and five (5) years of relevant experience or a combination of education, training and experience approved by HR.Licenses / Certifications : None required.Job : TechnologyPrimary Location : US-FL-St. Petersburg-Saint PetersburgOther Locations : US-FL-Clearwater-Clearwater, US-FL-Tampa-Tampa, US-FL-St. Petersburg-Saint Petersburg, US-TN-Memphis-MemphisOrganization TechnologySchedule Full-timeJob Shift Day JobTravel Yes, 5 % of the TimeReq ID : 2403815
