Job Summary

Partnering with stakeholders firm-wide, this role supports pricing and strategy decision-making, a deeper understanding of our advisors and clients, and the optimization of a sophisticated marketing automation stack.
Working under limited supervision in a hybrid work environment, the analyst uses their knowledge and skills obtained through education and experience to complete data analyses utilizing data mining techniques and statistical modeling to uncover key business insights. In addition, the analyst also applies their acquired report-building skills to create and automate the delivery of these insights while also leveraging their communication skills to socialize findings, conclusions and recommendations to a variety of stakeholder audiences.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Becomes familiar with data sources. Understands where to find and how to join disparate data sets.
- Identifies new data sources that will maximize analytic capabilities for the business.
- Ensures data quality and reliability and provides feedback to business process owners and to the IT department as needed.
- Performs data analysis and develops algorithms and solutions needed to support the business.
- Develops statistical and machine learning models and methodologies to predict, quantify or forecast various operational and performance metrics.
- Manages and maintains existing ETL systems and processes to ensure availability and accuracy of data; creates new ETL processes to support analysis and reporting needs.
- Provides expertise when implementing results and supporting ongoing business processes.
- Understands current systems and processes. Interacts with the appropriate teams to build base of business knowledge.
- Collaborates with leadership to identify, define, and solve a variety of business problems and opportunities.
- Prepares management reports and presents findings defining the problem, documenting the analysis and recommending courses of action in order to determine the best outcome.
- Supports firm level initiatives and ad hoc requests from a variety of departments and stakeholders.
- Performs other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
Knowledge of
- Advanced knowledge and demonstrated experience of statistical and machine learning models and methods.
- Advanced knowledge of large relational databases, and SQL programming.
- Advanced knowledge and familiarity with data mining, reporting and visualization tools such as Tableau.
Skill in
- Superior skills with Excel, SQL, PowerPoint, Python or R.
- Simplification and presentation of time series and cross-sectional data.
- Ability to read, analyze, and interpret common technical journals and financial reports.
- Application of mathematical operations to such tasks as frequency distribution, determination of test reliability and validity, analysis of variance, correlation techniques, sampling theory and factor analysis.
- Strong written and verbal communications skills.
Ability to
- Participate in a 24/7 on-call rotation
- Ability to respond to common inquiries or complaints from customers.

Education/Previous Experience
- Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing or Business Analytics, Computer Science, MIS, Mathematics, Statistics or related discipline.
- A minimum of (1) year relational business experience.
