What are the responsibilities and job description for the SHIPPING CLERK position at Raynor Manufacturing?
- Manifest all open orders for a given particular week
- Prepare and fax, if necessary, all bill of ladings to proper contacts
- Maintain stop sequence of loads at all times, minimum of 5 days out
- Call drivers with load information such as trailer numbers and stops
- Maintain accurate weights on all loads
- Provide Crating with paperwork 3 days prior to loading
- Record all crating information on picks and manifests
- Fax all preliminary manifests and bill of ladings to Export
- Verify all rail billing on Exports are complete
- Select proper equipment (trailers) for loading
- Print all picks, manifests and labels in a timely manner consistent with the loading schedule
- Provide the track and hardware department with all Export load numbers as soon as possible
- Prepare driver envelopes
- Record load information for weekly dispatch in T drive
- Record all loads on load board
- Sequence all job-sites accordingly
- File all manifest in their proper folder
- Close all loads no later than 48 hours after loading
- Assist pick up drivers (CCX, Cobane, Roadway, etc.) with paperwork
- Point of contact for all FTL & FLB loads
- Communicate with distributors, departments and carriers regarding status of shipping and delivery date.
- Verify and approve carrier invoicing
- Assist with various admin duties
