LVN – Health Support Staff

Primary Location: La Mesa Dale Elementary | Additional School Sites as Needed

Schedule: Approx. 8:00 AM – 2:30 PM (6.5 hours/day with 30-minute unpaid lunch)

Pay Range: $25–$30/hour, depending on experience

La Mesa-Spring Valley School District is hiring a Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN) to provide medical support for students across the district. The role will primarily support insulin administration at La Mesa Dale Elementary, with flexibility to assist at other campuses as needs arise.

Key Responsibilities

• Administer insulin and monitor blood glucose levels
• Perform clean intermittent catheterization (CIC)
• Provide G-tube feedings
• Support general health needs and emergency response across school sites
• Travel between school campuses as required
  
  

Qualifications

• Current and valid LVN license in the state of California
• Experience with insulin administration, CIC, and G-tube feeds strongly preferred
• Trach experience is a plus, but not required
• Reliable transportation and willingness to float between schools
  
  

Schedule & Hours

• Monday through Friday, 6.5 hours per day
• Approx. 8:00 AM – 2:30 PM, with a 30-minute unpaid lunch (exact start/end may vary by ~15 minutes)
• Follows the school year calendar
