Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Human Resources Assistant to support our HR department in various administrative functions. This role is crucial in ensuring the smooth operation of HR processes, including talent acquisition, employee relations, and benefits administration. The ideal candidate will possess strong communication skills and a solid understanding of human capital management principles, as well as familiarity with relevant employment laws.
Duties
- Assist in the recruitment process by sourcing candidates, conducting interviews, and coordinating onboarding activities.
- Support employee orientation programs to ensure new hires are effectively integrated into the organization.
- Maintain accurate employee records and HR databases, including data entry.
- Facilitate performance management processes by assisting with employee evaluations and feedback collection.
- Collaborate with HR team members on change management initiatives and strategic planning efforts.
- Ensure compliance with employment and labor laws, including FMLA regulations and OSHA standards.
- Manage employee relations issues by providing support in conflict resolution and maintaining positive workplace culture.
- Assist in the development of training programs and professional development initiatives for employees.
- Participate in affirmative action planning and succession planning efforts to promote diversity and inclusion within the workforce.
Requirements
- Proven experience in human resources or administrative roles with a focus on HR functions.
- Familiarity with human capital management principles, talent acquisition strategies, and employee evaluation processes.
- Knowledge of employment & labor law, including FMLA regulations and workers' compensation policies.
- Proficiency in project management practices to support various HR initiatives effectively.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously while maintaining attention to detail.
- Excellent communication skills for effective interaction with employees at all levels of the organization.
- Proficient in data collection methods and social media management for employer branding purposes.
