Summary
Long Term Care Facility seeking Housekeeping Manager to maintain and ensure clean, orderly, and attractive conditions of skilled nursing facility. Provides daily assignments to housekeeping staff and assists as needed. This position reports to Environmental Services Manager. This position is Mon-Fri day position and weekends as needed. Primary Responsibilities
- Developing routine cleaning schedules for residents’ rooms and common areas of facility. Assists with schedules for special projects and large jobs such as walls, windows, etc.
- Order supplies and equipment and track inventory.
- Develop safeguards and takes appropriate actions to secure housekeeping supplies out of reach of residents at all times.
- Monitor staff for compliance with OSHA mandates on workplace safety.
- Ensure all safety information and procedures are followed when using chemical compounds.
- Dispose of trash and waste, including bio-hazardous waste and other materials that require special handling in compliance with state and federal requirements.
- Monitor workplace for safety and fire hazards. Corrects or reports potential problems to supervisor. Reports maintenance and equipment problems promptly to Maintenance Supervisor.
- Maintain workplace in orderly, clean manner. Store supplies and equipment in proper places when not in use.
- Cooperate with other departments to identify and accommodate individual resident needs and preferences.
Required Skills and Abilities
High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or two to four years related experience and/or training;
