What are the responsibilities and job description for the Senior Engineer, Sustaining-- Mechanical/ Biomedical position at Real?
- Lead or support global cross-functional projects for new disposable products.
- Translate user needs into product requirements and solve engineering challenges using tools like dFMEA, HFE, CAD.
- Develop and maintain design history documentation, including testing and validation protocols.
- Build prototypes, test fixtures, and basic tooling; may operate machine tools.
- Ensure compliance with design controls, safety standards, and global regulations.
- BS in Mechanical, Plastics, or Biomedical Engineering (MS preferred).
- 3-5 years of experience in Class II/III disposable medical device development.
- Familiarity with DFSS, stage/gate processes, and plastics manufacturing methods.
- Proficient in CAD/PDM tools (e.g., Creo, SolidWorks) and regulatory standards (FDA, ISO 13485, ISO 14971).
- Strong initiative, communication, collaboration, and organizational skills
