Job SummaryRealCraft is seeking a qualified Staff Accountant to keep our financial records and budgets on track. A successful staff accountant will have a strong understanding of the intricacies of assets, liabilities, profit and loss, tax liability, and other financial transactions within our organization. They will play an important role, reporting directly to the CEO. A person who is fairness-focused with a collaborative mindset will flourish in this position at RealCraft. Objectives of this RoleExecute general ledger account reconciliations, accurate reporting, and data verification, enabling our leadership to analyze options and make financial decisions aligned with our company objectives.Comply with federal, state, and local financial requirements by studying existing and new legislation, and maintaining compliance Daily and Monthly ResponsibilitiesPerform general ledger account reconciliations, verify accuracy of data, and report and correct errors Support timely monthly, quarterly, half-year, and year-end financial closeMaintain and update records and reports for profit and loss, taxes, liabilities, and assetsProcess payroll for hourly and salaried staff.Provide financial oversight. Provide weekly reports to the CEO. Create the company’s annual budget. Reconcile bank accounts monthly, verify deposits, and address inquiries from banks.Reconcile cash disbursement accounts, payroll, customer accounts, and other financial accountsManage accounts receivable collectionsProcess accounts payable Provide outside finance-related institutions (banks, accounting firm, IRS, etc.) with assistance and informationManage the purchasing and invoicing systems Skills and QualificationsBachelor’s degree in accounting, business accounting, or financeProficient in Microsoft Office products and QuickBooksKnowledge of these systems would be helpful, but not required: Avalara (for Nexus taxes), Shopify, Gusto, and Hubspot.At least five (5) years of relevant professional experienceStrong understanding of federal and state tax regulationsKnowledge of GAAP (generally accepted accounting principles in the U.S.)Ability to maintain confidentialityAbility to prioritize and organize efficientlyStrong mathematical and analytical skillsExcellent oral and written communication skillsCollaborative mindset.This is a full-time position, with an annual salary range of $70,000 - $90,000. After a few months of becoming familiar with our team and the position, a hybrid of in-person and remote work is a possibility.
